Kellie Klok

Managing Director

Kellie began her training in public practice before venturing into the commercial workspace. She worked for a publicly listed transport company where she gained valuable exposure to the world of accounting, working in the head office.

She then moved into mining, where she was involved with managing large systems and reporting schedules. It was in this position that she was able to experience the other side of the outsource model.

Kellie is now responsible for driving information, high output, and business innovation with us at AccountCom. She is passionate about developing high-performing teams and outstanding leaders.

Outside of work, Kellie enjoys spending time with her family and working on her fitness.

Carol’s experience as an accountant emanates from a strong background in mining. In her previous position, she was employed as an Administration Manager at Hunter Valley Earthmoving and a Commercial Manager at Mt Owen Mine.

For over a decade, Carol and her daughter, Kellie took on the role of Director of AccountCom. Carol has a significant advisory role within the organisation, and she also oversees our finance department.

Outside of work, Carol enjoys spending quality time with her family and grandkids, as well as doing some art.

Carol Cheetham

Vanessa Power

Head of Human Resources

Vanessa provides strategic and operational HR guidance and technical support to our clients, which is an increasingly complex area for business owners.

She assists business owners with everything from modern award interpretation, employment law and performance management systems, to payroll compliance.

Vanessa also ensures clients’ policies and procedures are compliant with the Fair Work Act 2009 and other State and Commonwealth Government legislation.

With a background in banking and financial planning, Vanessa understands the effect continual changes in government policy have on business owners and is passionate about helping to minimise the impact of regulatory and reporting compliance.

Outside of work, Vanessa loves supporting her kids with their music, academic and sporting pursuits.

Amanda
Macokatic

Accountant

Amanda is responsible for integrating our client payroll systems within Xero and managing communications with Tax Agents to ensure a streamlined process during fundamental tax deadlines.

Her previous experience with tax agent firms and managing her own small bookkeeping business allows Amanda to approach payroll management holistically whilst demystifying tax processes.

Amanda has completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Financial Accounting & Management Accounting and a Chartered Accounting qualification. Her strengths and passion lie in streamlining business bookkeeping processes.

For Amanda, the best part of working with AccountCom has been working closely with the team that allows for brainstorming and the option to bounce ideas off one another to get the best possible outcome. Amanda encourages anyone who may be considering joining the AccountCom team to be themselves, “With a beautifully friendly team here it’s hard not to feel at home in this workplace.”.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her 4-year-old son and her large extended family. She also loves to mix things up with salsa dancing and cooking Italian food in her spare time.  

Flynn joined our team after a recommendation was given to him via one of his TAFE teachers. Upon referral, he applied for a traineeship as soon as possible to gain industry experience.

As part of his traineeship, Flynn assisted with completing general bookkeeping, document control, payroll and administration tasks assigned for our range of clients. Prior to his role with us, Flynn worked as a Kitchen Assistant for six years. In this role, Flynn learnt about the importance of time management, organisation, and punctuality – skills that were fundamental for his development during his traineeship.

On completion of his Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping Flynn was promoted to the role of Junior Bookkeeper. Flynn looks forward to further developing his software skills as he progresses to the next stage in his career.
